Working with Orichalcum

One of the things that we wanted to do with this book is focus a bit more on Orichalcum given the fact that two bloodlines in this book are skilled with crafting. Cyclospawn and Paragons of Hephaestus have the ability to take a series of racial edges that allow them to alter the properties of Orichalcum by adding parts of IMBs and other mythical beasts to the metal. In essence they create an alloy with amazing properties.

For example: adding feathers from the wing of a Siren causes an object made from this enhanced metal to be lightened by 25% or the addition of Neo-Lamia lips grants +2 to Vigor rolls to resist any type of poison. 

These formulas can be even more complex with addition of components from multiple IMBs. However, this is not without danger. Like the crafting of alchemical compounds, Orichalcum infused with items can be ruined or even explode if not properly crafted. The more properties that are added to the metal, the more difficult it is to keep the metal stable.

The resulting metal can be used in weapons and ammunition, but it can also be used to fashion belt buckles, pins and other objects that can also transmit these abilities to the wearer.
